What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a method of therapy used to improve or change specific behaviors. ABA changes seeks to change a child's environment in order to bring positive and lasting changes in their behavior. These changes can be classified as reductions in problem behaviors, or improvements in areas like social skills, reading, academics, and communication, grooming, hygiene, fine motor dexterity, job proficiency and self-management. The state of Georgia requires insurance coverage for the screening, diagnostic testing and treatment of autism spectrum disorder. Levels and access to this coverage may vary depending on your individual insurance provider.
